1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HomeLearn (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or a parent/guardian acting on behalf of a minor to create an account. Use of the Platform is governed by the laws of India.

3. User Roles & Responsibilities

Parents

Parents are responsible for their children's accounts, ensuring accurate information is provided, and making timely fee payments to teachers.

Teachers & Institutes

Teachers and institutes are responsible for the accuracy of their profile information and qualification documents submitted for verification. HomeLearn may revoke access if false information is found.

Students

Students are responsible for respectful conduct in all classes and communications on the Platform.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when registering. Each person may maintain only one account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

5. Teacher Verification

Teachers must submit qualification documents for manual review by the HomeLearn admin team before their profile becomes publicly visible. HomeLearn reserves the right to reject or revoke verification at any time.

6. Fees & Payments

Online payments are processed securely via Razorpay. When a parent pays a batch fee online, HomeLearn deducts a 10% platform feefrom the amount collected. Teachers receive 90% of each online payment via payout to their registered UPI ID. Parents are not charged any platform fee — they pay only the teacher's stated batch fee. All payment disputes are between the parent and teacher.

7. Payouts

Teachers may request a payout of their available balance at any time from the dashboard. Payouts are transferred to the teacher's registered UPI ID, typically within 1–2 business days of admin approval. HomeLearn reserves the right to withhold payouts in cases of suspected fraud or policy violations.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Creating fake or misleading profiles
• Soliciting off-platform payments to evade the platform fee
• Harassment, spam, or abusive communication
• Uploading content that infringes third-party intellectual property
• Attempting to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Platform

9. Intellectual Property

All HomeLearn branding, logos, and platform code are the property of HomeLearn. By posting content (class materials, reviews, etc.) you grant HomeLearn a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that content on the Platform.

10. Termination

HomeLearn may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

HomeLearn is a marketplace connecting parents with teachers. We do not guarantee the quality of teaching or the outcome of any educational arrangement. HomeLearn's liability is limited to the platform fees collected from the relevant transaction(s) in dispute.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from use of the Platform shall be governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.

13. Changes to Terms

HomeLearn may update these Terms with 7 days' notice via email. Continued use of the Platform after notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
